Amazon Suspended – How To Get Back

Did Amazon suspend your account? I have been there. It’s the worst thing that ever happened to me. I was under so much stress that I even had to take antidepressant drugs.

There are thousands of sellers out there who have lost their Amazon accounts over the last couple of months.

I tried to appeal my suspension as well open a new seller account. However, every single time my new account was suspended again within 1 or 2 days.

I did a lot of research online and I found this guide written by Peter Bergmann. I was a little skeptical at first but with the money-back guarantee, I thought I would give it a try anyway.

I followed the step by steps instructions and it took less than 3 days to have my new seller account up and running.

Do not underestimate Amazon. If you think that you can create new Amazon accounts without them tracing you, you’re probably wrong. Here’s the thing: whether you like it or not, you are leaving your so-called digital footprint behind you every time you log on to the internet. These footprints of yours are then traced by companies such as Amazon to link new seller accounts with banned ones.

Peter Bergmann has a very clear understanding of the sneaky methods that Amazon applies to suspend and link new accounts.

In this manual, you will get all the information and help you need on appeal your suspension as well creating new Amazon Seller accounts and avoid being tracked down.

Bergmann also gave me personal support via email, as I am not that good with computers. It never took him longer than 12 hours to reply to my emails.

I have been back selling on Amazon for more than 3 months now and I am really happy to be back in business. I also keep a copy of Bergmann’s Beat Amazon Suspension manual on my computer; I also opened a second Amazon emergency backup account so that the next time Amazon decide to suspend my account for no reason, I am prepared.

When you get your Amazon account suspended, there is normally a mail sent by the Amazon team as a notification of the suspension. In this mail, there are listed reasons to let you know about what got your Amazon account suspended. These reasons may include sales performance issues, seller policy violation, inaccurate or misleading information on your seller or product description.

  2. Donald says

Here is how I appealed my Amazon seller suspension: After you get the suspended notification understand the reasons for the suspension after you need to fill out a form to appeal. In the form, mention a brief description of who you are or about your business, state briefly what got your Amazon Account suspended, the steps you have taken to mitigate the issue, and a polite request that your account privileges be reinstated. Remember to include a telephone number or other contact means in case there are further questions. Submit the appeal to Amazon for review and wait for a response via email, which may take approximately 48 hours.

After doing a lot of research online, I realized once you’re banned from Amazon it s not always easy to get your account reinstated.

  5. Stevio T. says

Amazons terms and conditions for sellers are really pathetic, the return clauses are sketchy, and also dealing with the Amazon Seller Central support is very difficult , it’s almost impossible to get a human to reply your emails. And the whole thing of assessing the seller on the basis of a negative review is unjustifiable, as most of the buyers do not leave any review at all.

  6. Susi L says

I will feel relieved on Tuesday morning when I will be dumping my Amazon stocks (!!!) This is after facing myriads of frustrations how Amazon treated me. They claimed my account was linked with another seller account. On inquiry, I found out they had charged my credit card on two of my accounts against my wish. While I have launched my appeal with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General’s office, I hope I can get my Amazon business back.

  7. Clarence says

My recent suspension got me in really really big trouble; Amazon say that the rate of my feedback score does not tally with the volumes of my sales. I have been getting 5 star ratings for 95% of my sales volume. I tried to appeal my Amazon seller account ban, because normally only angry buyers leave feedback. However, it’s like they never got my seller ban appeal because they never replied. My account had like $15K inside, and I was told that it takes 90 days to get my money back. Apparently Amazon is holding my money for nothing and my research online seems to prove me right. I think there is something outrageous happening that I might not be aware.

  8. Guliani says

I lost my Amazon account because of some stupid mistakes I did. I was in business with Amazon starting around April 2011 and my account was banned on May 2016. It’s true that recently, I had marked a product with the wrong price tag. I overlooked the entire massacre I did. I tagged a 119 buck product at 19 bucks. The entire lot was either ordered or sold by the time when I actually noticed it. I was under so much stress when I corrected the last product of the lot. I explained the entire episode Amazon via mail, with no reply. I was stunned. I have been trying to unfold the mystery all these months. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

  9. Stacy says

The whole environment doing business with Amazon is absurd, especially when the chances of your Amazon account getting suspended any time are extremely high. You never know of if the money you invested in our Amazon business is safe. If you are selling on Amazon, you can loose everything you build a lot more easy than you might think.

    1. Luigi says

Hey Stacy, you need to take deeper look into their BIG rule book. You might have violated some terms and conditions. Amazon has an intricate list of policies violations. Check for any competitor who might have conspired against you.
Don’t forget as per Amazon rules, you need to title your products accurately, you cannot review products by yourself, cannot use same ASIN more than once, etc, all of which you got to abide to.

  10. Mario B. says

Amazon has enough money. Suspending your account won’t mean anything to them – financially or otherwise. And Amazon’s CEO is doing nothing to give banned Amazon sellers a fair chance to appeal. The biggest drawback with selling on Amazon is that the company doesn’t care much about smaller and/or struggling businesses that have a limited capital. If they don’t see you doing anything substantially great for the company, you can be dumped anytime.

  11. Martin D. says

Amazon normally treats their customers in the best possible way. However, I still wondering how comes my Amazon account was suspended. Wait a moment! Did you know why? I was surprised to learn my account was banned even without giving a chance to learn or rectify my mistakes. This was really intimidating.

  12. Dupras says

Another thing that I have noted with Amazon is that sellers are usually treated like dirt. For example, one of my competitors managed to make false claims against my account. As a matter of fact, for those of you who are planning to start a business and considering to sell on Amazon, then be warned that this is one of the riskiest platforms to establish your online business.

  13. Brandon says

Amazon does not respect its sellers. They decided to suspend my account a few months ago after one of the close competitors with a malicious intention reported me to their team. It was during this time that I came to realize that it is very risk to sell products on Amazon. If you want to be on the safe side, it is advisable that you have an alternative plan and not just invest everything you have with them lest you find yourself stranded.

  14. Suss22 says

According to Amazon’s terms and conditions, your account can be suspended ANY TIME! Therefore, you will be required to follow the strict rules, terms, and conditions if you decide to do business with Amazon. However, they claim that if you are being suspended, your account can be reinstated under some circumstances. I am still waiting for suspension of my account to be lifted.

  15. Sussds says

After the suspension of my seller account, Amazon started to charge me with all kind of fees relating to my seller account, even they are not paying out money the owe me.

  16. Susseee says

What happened to me was incredibly daunting and an unreasonable. Amazon was unable to give me an explanation as to why my account was suspended. To make the matters worse, my partners account was also closed because they said that the buyer in question was sending me many defective products, and of course, I returned them. As soon as the above incident occurred, my account was suspended. Yes, I can attest that they gave me some warning; I made several attempts contacting them and requesting advice on what I should do to reverse the suspension of my account. One of their customer care specialists gave me a piece of advice that I should continue returning the defective goods/products to avoid account suspension. Unfortunately, barely a couple of days had elapsed when I realized that my appeal was never considered and that the account has been suspended. Four weeks later, my wife’s account was suspended as well and up to now, I have not known why.

  17. Sussds55 says

The moment I realized that my Amazon account had been suspended, I had the brilliant idea to open new seller account. However, I did not get lucky, my new account was banned within 5 minutes after registering. Very frustrating experience.

  18. A. Smith says

Hi, we manufacture and sell a product. We have the trademark, make everything in house, etc. If we create a new account (as an “authorized reseller”) can we use the same ASIN/UPC and link to our old listings? We have great feedback on those, 1000+ reviews, less than 10% negative reviews…

    1. admin says

Normally you would get some notices that some listings
are in violations of the T&S’s before they shut down the account again.

Thats correct, putting your website information into the package
      can get your account banned.

Once your account has been reinstated you will be find, there is
a very low chance they would ban the account again because they
      found something in the past.

  19. Antonio says

I have opened my account–and have question.

I am waiting to process a request for approval in the beauty category. My previous account was blocked due to “suspicion of selling counterfeit merchandise,” and the invoice that I provided was apparently insufficient.

Does amazon block/black list any companies that are listed on invoices sent in during the appeal provisions? I will be using the same companies as before (they were never selling counterfeit items).

    1. admin says

Amazon would only ban suppliers if they did something illegal. Your supplier seems
to be legit, so you can use them.

  20. P.Drucker says

Account is going very well thank you so much for all the help. Just wondering whats a good sales number to reach this month 3rd month of selling first month was $100 second was around 1100 now this month I am already at 1800 and its the 15th what would you recommend would be a good number to hit this month also a number not to go over for this month so I know to when inactive my items so I don’t make any more sales?

    1. admin says

Try to stay below 3k and you will be fine.

  21. anthony grewal says

I used the appeals template that came with the Beat Amazon Suspension guide. I was really skeptical that I would ever sell again on Amazon. I am back selling on Amazon almost 1 year! Thank you again 🙂

    1. Peter Bergmann says

Hi Anthony, an email with the download link was sent to your email address. Double check the junk folder in case nothing shows up in your inbox. Best Regards. Peter Bergmann

  22. Roberto says

We have been reinstated, thanks for your help! The template we created from your letters helped us get back on relatively quickly – in 20 days, compared to the weeks and weeks we heard about from other sellers on the sellers forums.

  23. Ryan says

I was selling on Amazon for 2 years….Had income generation of 20,000 a month. I sell on other platforms. ECrater, Newegg, Ebay, Sears, and even but nothing has the traffic and full profit potential that Amazon had. I’ve had account reviews for dumb stuff but I got that dread account suspended and pending review.
I got an A-Z claim because Amazon tracking is off and the buyer recieved his item 3 days before tracking time.
Policy violations for having contact with customers during the transaction.
A bad review for a product that a customer wanted a return after 30 Days and I wouldn’t grant it to him.
For anyone thinking of selling on Amazon, their business model and structure does not make it very movable for small sellers.
You have to be almost absolutely perfect. Only 1/100 orders can be defective. And when I mean defective, not a return. A-Z claim (no matter what it is), Bad feedback (even for a product),or a chargeback.
Having 2/221 Short Term & 2/256 Long Term ODR, 97% Positive Feedback, and 20,000 in sales isn’t good enough for these guys.
Get one ODR, A-Z, or even worst a report of a counterfeit, your through.
My advice to any new sellers on going into Amazon:

1)Get a Sales Tax/Resale Certificate to get items from real Distributors
2)Have an established store on E-Bay,Newegg, or Rakuten (maybe even your own store) to have repeat customers and another selling platform.
3)Have another Amazon dummy account just in case…you never know when that dreaded suspension will hit you.
4)Do not…and I mean DO NOT DO FBA…If you are under review or suspended. Your money and YOUR INVENTORY WILL BE HELD FOR 90 DAYS.
5)Do not and I mean absolutely DO NOT SELL OVER 20,000p/yr or even a month on Amazon.
I know the traffic and numbers are tempting but I tell you why.
If you do go over 20,000,now you have to have a Tax ID or provide an SSN.
If you provide a Tax-ID,you can get a silent partner and sign off on the W-1099.
If not, you have to give your SSN. So be prepared to get banned from ALL accounts if you do that.
Furthermore, they’ll have less to hold if they do an account review and suspension.
Many have gone through this. Many say this is worst that a E-Bay suspension and more complicated to overcome.
I wish you guys all the best as myself because we are all vendors trying to make a living and a dream with our companies and who we build them with.
I just hope it gets easier to move around suspensions and get back to where we are all making money, living our dreams, and taking care of our loved ones.
Thanks for reading my journey.Thanks. Great Blessings. And Godspeed.
    If you are

Our account just got shut down after 2+ years doing over $1+ million in sales, perfect seller standing 100%, perfect feedback, everything. We got accused of selling counterfeit products, and provided 1 year of receipts for every single item we purchased, to no avail. They are holding $150k cash and $300K + in FBA inventory right now, devastating…

Lets open a white house petition so if we get enough petition the White house will open a case against amazon they should not be allowed to do business this way they are a monopoly if anyone beats them, so way they kick them right out, if u buy from amazon anything and there was a issues with shipping they remove the feed instantly, if its from a seller you have to actually pay or beg the customer to remove it, this is only 1 issue there is 100’s of monopoly tricks they violate.

  26. Screw Amazon says

Screw Amazon. That platform is designed to make you into a sharecropper on the Bezos plantation. Their business model is destroying everything they touch and then trying to monopolize each industry they’ve destroyed. The whole thing is a ponzi scheme that requires constant incoming investments … which they promptly lose.

You really think it’s a good idea to base your life on that scam?

  27. Danny Reicher says

Since my amazon account was suspended after 10 years of business in Amazon, I am so desperate to reopen the account.

After 3 months of suspension, I realized that my account won’t be open again. Therefore, I open another business account with new EIN number new address.
Then I opened up the new account again, but it was suspended right away. Now, I need to make sure what I need to change it before I open another new account.

I just opened a new business name again. I will use a different address, phone number as well.

    1. Allison says

You need a new IP address, because they will suspend you again if you use your name, address, phone number and IP address.

  28. Danny Reicher says

Without going into a long story, the seller account was suspended in mid-2012, because the descriptions did not match the items being sold. In short, an upload was done, and that upload was not properly QC’ed. As such, there were listings live with incorrect specs and images. Amazon Marketplace employees charged with protecting the integrity of the marketplace, found these listings and placed fake / ghost orders for those pieces. When those items with incorrect information were received A-Z disputes were opened on each test order. In my opinion, the company should have “taken its lumps,” apologized profusely for the errors, offered partial / full refunds, and done everything possible to keep the “clients” happy. Unfortunately this was not done, and shortly thereafter the account was suspended.

*Prior to working with this client, I’ve been involved with 5 other online jewelers, including three of the big ones. I’ve worked at almost every level of the online jewelry industry, and as such I am acutely aware of the importance of kissing Amazon ass as much as possible. I recognize the need to be subservient to the almighty beast that is Amazon, in order to protect a seller account, and pittance of profits they allow people to earn.

Unfortunately, two previous attempts to appeal the suspension have failed. For what it’s worth, I disagree with the direction taken by the former employees who initiated those appeals, and furthermore, I question the tone those appeals were written in. In short, the first appeal was likely written when tensions and tempers were high, considering that it was argued that ours was a little mistake, and that the shoppers (Amazon) were nit-picking our errors, and were being unethical by placing test orders. The second appeal was simply re-stated the case, and explained that we were very sorry about the error, and that a lot of money was spent to ensure that such errors cannot happen again. But my Amazon account is still suspended.

Again, I want to sincerely thank you for all your generosity in sharing your experience and knowledge on this issue with the Beat Amazon Suspension guide.
I’m sure you hear this all the time, but I built my company from literally one item and myself some 15 months ago to processing over 80,000 orders and a staff of 5 only to have everything crumble literally overnight for reasons I still do not know.

So, it goes without saying that your guidance has been invaluable to myself and the people who’s livelihood is at stake. I also wanted to mention that assuming we continue on a positive track and get back to “normal”, so to speak, I’m happy to write a review or give you a full throated endorsement or whatever, if this would help your cause. I have been a business owner for over 30 years and this episode has shaken me to the core and frankly, that’s not easy to do….LOL

  41. Tim says

I was suspended by Amazon in October of 2011, just in time for the holiday rush. They froze my money for 90 days and still charged me user fees. I inquired about starting back up and they sent me an e-mail stating I’m permanently blocked. My account had only been open three months and I had sold almost 800 items but I only received ~30 reviews and one of them was bad. I challenged them on their fuzzy math calculations (1/30 vs 1/800) and still got blocked. After I got suspended, I began to notice the “Big Guy” sellers raising the sales price of the items I was moving for less. There has to be collusion involved. I would like to begin selling again. I will check out your book and report back if it works (I’m just worried about getting my money tied up again)

I was suspended today after eight years. A year ago I had almost a 5.00 and I was making money. The recession hit and my sales plummetted and you cannot be a low volume seller on amazon because the new customer metrics system does not take into account this. One refund and your out . truth is unless you agree to be their 24 hour slave you cant stay there. the MBA s won. Now they have a new tracking system where they see how many seconds it takes to answer an email and you will be rated on that too.
I dont know if I want to be reinstated. I am tired of running to the post office for 6.00 books. maybe the internet isnt what it was cracked up to be

  46. tina22 says

Thank you for your review. I really liked Amazon, when the company still was younger. My impression is that they turn more and more into an evil enterprise. I was suspended from Amazon, and they just refuse to give me any explanation to what I did wrong.
It’s not only Amazon I think eBay and PayPal are getting evil as well.
The issue is that they only care about their profits.

I am back on Amazon already 4 weeks. This guide is amazing. Amazon knows A LOT more about you than you could ever imagine.
